Call for Board Members

ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR BOARD?

The Association for Regenerative Culture (ARC) Board is looking for new Board Members who will bring fresh ideas, energy, and commitment, along with your own special skills and a passion for phasing in new programs and supporting permaculture practitioners. Our working board at present plays many roles that may be assigned to staff as we grow.

Our mission is to support and leverage regional and local efforts in the transition to equitable, inclusive, and regenerative cultures of place.

As we look to the future of ARC, we are seeking Board members who are willing and able to think and act collaboratively about ARC’s niche and role in both the Permaculture and broader ecosystem of groups and collectives engaged in building and sustaining healthy, diverse, resilient, and adaptable communities that exist in harmony with local ecologies.

Since 2005, ARC has supported Permaculture (Pc) practitioners, promoted Pc education, served as the fiscal agent for the Permaculture Institute of North America (PINA), and empowered countless individuals and organizations.

ARC’s current work focuses on partnerships and coalitions both within and adjacent to the Permaculture community. This work includes supporting individuals and groups by connecting them to resources and to one another. Our first step has been to establish an online forum for Pc practitioners.

Our work falls into these overlapping areas:

  1. NETWORK & CONNECT by improving existing networks and fostering new ones, especially those that contribute to a more diverse Permaculture ecosystem
  2. PARTNER & ADVISE by serving as a thought partner for like-minded groups or offering organizational mentorship where appropriate
  3. SUPPORT & NURTURE by providing fiscal support for non-incorporated groups, e.g. through fiscal agency or sponsorship
  4. SHOWCASE & DISSEMINATE by documenting and sharing stories about replicable local and regenerative programs and projects that center social justice and show successful land conservation and acquisition strategies.
